Survival Bow

Our Survival Bow are small compact bows that will come apart to fit into a backpack for those that would like to take along a backup into the back country. Our Survival Bow is made from either Oak or Walnut for the Riser and the Limbs are made from either Hard Maple or Hickory with the wedges matching the riser. The draw weights range between 40 and 55 pounds at a draw length of 26 inches.

Reasons to own a Survival Bow

Since our Survival Bow is small and light weight it is a portable weapon, with the limbs removed the riser is only 14″ long and the limbs are less than 20″ long and would fit easily into a backpack. The limbs are held on with just one bolt through each limb and can be assembled or disassembled in a matter of a minute or two.  With the bow assembled the length is only 48 inches and weighs less than 2 pounds. Arrows are plentiful in a pinch a small branch from a tree and some work and you can make an arrow unlike ammunition for firearms which is both hard to come by and is expensive. Another reason is that the government doesn’t have as much regulation put on archery equipment as there is with firearms. Another plus for arrows is they can be shot many times, arrow tips on modern carbon arrows can be exchanged depending on what the arrow will be used for.

1st.Greg at Smokey River Bows really hears your needs, not just tries to sell you!!!!! If your build isn't right with him, he will make it 100% perfect before its sent. His wife and him are making works of art that have lifetime warranty. I needed a bugout/pac bow that is lightweight, powerful and fully functional to take large game. After getting bow, the bow is both beautiful and powerful!!!!! Its handmade and great quality. After a few shots and setting bow up, knew it would serve me well. I stuck a "Wide" world class mulie at 7 to 10 yards sleeping after a 3hr painful crawl. I did a search on internet for survival bows and got just bows that were not very good!! You want a great bow, great price, and someone who really hears your needs, call Greg at Smokey River Bows, you will not regret it!!!
