Update on Discover Smokey River Bows

 

Update on Discover Smokey River Bows… it is now time to make the limbs.  Remember when we took the riser out of the oven and shaped it into a rectangle, it was then that we cut  thin strips for the limbs.

With Dan sanding away on the riser, Greg is freed up to continue on the limbs.   These long thin strips are glued and taped together and placed under pressure and then into the oven.

Not very pretty…

 

Once they are taken out of the oven you can see how pretty they are not.  Keep watching, trust us, you will see one of the highest quality custom hand crafted, exotic hardwoods, masterpieces, when we are all done.  Now it is time to repeat the gluing and taping and pressuring for the tips, then into the oven again!
